Michael is an experienced Management and Development Consultant with over twenty five years  of post-Masters experience in public and private sectors as well as development agencies. He has extensive experience in policy analysis, strategic planning, project coordination, capacity building and institutional reforms. Michael also has a very sound grasp of performance measurement and monitoring, developing policy options in respect of public service delivery and first-hand experience of developing successful public private partnerships (PPP). He is a bilingual trainer (French/English) and has applied this skill in handling several capacity building programmes for reputable public and private sector organisations.

Michael has an outstanding record of service in the public sector. Between 2011 and 2015, he recurrently served as Special Adviser (Technical) in Federal Ministries of Water Resources; Works; National Planning; and Finance. During these tenures he proffered policy advice to Ministers and senior officials of the respective MDAs, played a lead role in strategy development and implementation as well as performance measurement and monitoring of government projects and agencies. At the Ministry of Water Resources for example, Michael led the team that developed and produced the Road Map for Nigeria’s Water Sector.  Prior to these recent public sector tenures, Michael had served as Special Assistant (Reforms and Strategy) to the Minister of Information, Communication, Youth, Intergovernmental and Special Duties from 2004 to 2007. During this period he was appointed Project Coordinator for the setting up of a National Youth Development Fund under the Presidency. He also doubled as Project Coordinator for the World Bank project on Economic and Reform Governance Programme (ERGP) under the Federal Ministry of Information and Communication.

An alumnus of the of the Kennedy School of Government , Harvard University ,Michael is a certified World Bank Procurement Consultant and has also undergone training in Development Communication and Reforms with the World Bank Group. He has facilitated an 8 country e-learning program on Development Communication and Reforms and has consulted for the DFID UK as resource person for the agency’s States and Local Government programs (SLGP).

Michael’s extensive experience in Core Business Consulting and Re-engineering projects earned him an adjunct professor slot at the Kaduna Business School (KBS). At KBS, he played a lead role in the design and subsequent accreditation of the school’s Enterprise Development Institute. Michael also handled local and international assignments during this tenure and his research interests encompassed case development in reforms and risk management for several agencies across Nigeria – focusing primarily on developing winning strategies for public and private institutions.

He was a member of the Governing Council of Veritas University Abuja (2011-2017) and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Brookhouse Schools Nairobi ,Kenya.

Michael makes periodic appearances as a public policy analyst on mainstream media in Nigeria. He is also Fellow of the 21st Century Trust, in the United Kingdom, a body set-up primarily to deliberate on global and leadership issues with a view to finding solutions to same. He also serves as a Lead Consultant and Adviser to the Kukah Centre, a leading policy think tank in Nigeria where he is working on 12 state digital classroom project over 120 schools in Northern Nigeria..

His career which started in 1991 with the CITIBANK N.A (A Fortune 500 company), involved structuring project and trade finance transactions at the Corporate Bank as well as risk management, strategy development and operations management.

Michael is conversant with various Microsoft Office software applications as well as other computer applications including web based programs and other bespoke software. He is a conscientious professional with persuasive presentation skills and first rate leadership acumen.

He is a graduate of University of Maiduguri,Lagos and the United states International University Nairobi where he obtained BA,MA and MBA degrees.

Michael lives in Abuja Nigeria and is married.
